Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance
Craig is responsible for Mid South’s budgeting, accounting, costing, treasury, tax, audit, and information technology functions.  Craig has over 25 years of progressive Finance/Accounting responsibility in the food industry with Butterball Turkey, Agri-Stats Inc., Indiana Packers, and Smithfield Foods.  He has taken the lead on diverse projects within accounting, operations, supply, and information technology throughout his career.  Craig holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Missouri State University.

 

 

Homer Daniels

General Manager - Texas Baking Facility
Homer is responsible for the general management of the New Southwest  Bakery facility located in Bryan, Texas.  His guiding focus is to ensure that product manufactured in his facilities consistently meets the highest possible quality standards, as measured by industry and customer expectations.  Homer is responsible for establishing and meeting performance criteria in the areas of operations, human resources, people development, business development and financial performance.  Homer began his baking career with Fuchs Baking and over the past 29 years has progressively worked his way into positions of greater responsibility and visibility.  Homer joined Mid South Baking in 1999 and is an American Institute of Baking graduate.

General Manager - Mississippi and Central Baking Facilities
James is responsible for the general management of the Mississippi and Central Bakery facilities located in Pelahatchie, MS. His guiding focus is to ensure that product manufactured in his facilities consistently meets the highest possible quality standards, as measured by industry and customer expectations. James is responsible for establishing and meeting performance criteria in the areas of operations, human resources, people development, business development and financial performance. James began his baking career with Mid South Baking Company over 28 years ago and has progressively worked his way into positions of greater responsibility and visibility. James joined Mid South Baking in 1989 and is an American Institute of Baking graduate.

 

 

James Esco

Will Sims
Director - Human Resources
Will is responsible for the strategic planning, design, and overall administration of Mid South’s Human Resources functions. He maintains knowledge of industry standards, trends and certifies company compliance with federal, state and local employment legislation. He provides leadership ensuring the organization’s human capital matches its needs, maintaining the appropriate talent to accurately support Mid South’s mission and values. He continually reviews and makes recommendations for improvement of Mid South’s policies, procedures, personnel opportunities, ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals and in support of continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Will’s tenure in Human Resources spans more than 30 years. Previous employers include 9 years of service in the United States Air Force as a Recruiting Office Manager.  Additionally, Will has worked with The Federal Aviation Administration as an air traffic controller and corporate trainer, as well as Human Resources Manager at Stericycle and Knowledge Services Corporation. Will joined Mid South Baking in 2013, and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. Will is also an active member of the national SHRM organization, as well as participating with local SHRM chapters in Jackson, Mississippi and Bryan, Texas.

 

 

Dean Marucci

 

Customer Service Manager

Dean is responsible for coordinating with the production teams, transportation teams and customer support team with both New Southwest and Mid South Bakeries, to include the entire customer base. Dean and his team are charged with acquiring the multiple orders, decimating and assisting in determining production availability, and securing guaranteed quality and punctual delivery to the distribution centers. He initially began his career with Mid South in the Transportation Department. In a short time period, due to his hard work and dedication, he was promoted to the role of Field Service Quality Assurance Professional. 
Dean has great compassion and outstanding commitment to customer service. These qualities have allowed Dean to progressively ascend to his current leadership position as Senior Manager of the Customer Service Department. His tenure with Mid-South spans a career of over 17 years, he often draws from his prior experience with other market leading companies such as Frito Lay and McKee foods to achieve company objectives.

Tom Shuler
Vice President - Manufacturing
Tom is directly responsible for the over-all Operations/Manufacturing performance of all Mid South Baking facilities. His guiding focus is to ensure that products manufactured in all of our Mid South facilities consistently meet the highest possible quality standards, as measured by industry and customer expectations. Tom is responsible for establishing and meeting performance criteria in the areas of operations, human resources, people development, business development and financial performance. Tom began his baking career with Golden State Foods and over the past 35 years has progressively worked his way into positions of greater responsibility and visibility. Tom joined Mid South Baking in 1995 and is an American Institute of Baking graduate.

Steve Warden

President and Chief Operating Officer
Steve has ultimate responsibility for directing Mid South’s efforts in the areas of operations, human resources, engineering, strategic direction, vision and values.  Steve is also intimately involved with customer interactions, supporting strategic industry relationships as a member of the American Institute of Baking Educational Advisory Council, American Society of Bakery Engineers, McDonald’s Bakery Council and McDonald’s BQI Team.  Steve has more than 25 years of progressively responsible industry experience, beginning his career at Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation and serving 21 years at Mid South Baking.  Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Guilford College.
